Online Registration Forms
Portsmouth Public Schools utilizes an online registration tool to gather
the majority of student information required for registration. Please use the
links below to select the correct registration form and begin the registration
process.
After completing the online form, you will need to visit your child’s school to
complete the registration process and present the required documents. You are encouraged to complete the online form ahead of time, but schools will have computers available on site if you wish to complete the form during your visit. The online registration form is accessible via standard web browsers found on most internet connected devices including: home computers, public computers available at local libraries, tablets, and smartphones (user experience will vary by device).
New Student Registration Forms
The forms linked below are for new student registrations.
A new student is a student that is not currently enrolled in Portsmouth Public Schools and has not been enrolled in Portsmouth Public Schools during the school year for which they are registering.
If your student is currently enrolled in Portsmouth Public Schools, please visit our Registration Verification page for more information about our annual registration information update process.
If your student is returning to Portsmouth Public Schools during a school year in which they were previously enrolled, please contact your student's school for information on how to re-enroll your student.
Current School Year: 2024-25
Please use this Registration Form 2024-25 for new students who will be attending Portsmouth Public Schools beginning September 2024 to June 2025.
PowerSchool Enrollment Account (Required)
In order to complete the online student registration process, you will need to create an account using your email address or cell phone number. At this time, the PowerSchool Enrollment Account is not connected in any way to the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The PowerSchool Enrollment account will allow you to:
- Start and stop registration forms as many times as necessary to complete them;
- Reuse common data entered on previous registrations for additional new student registrations (siblings)
- Retrieve a copy of submitted registrations; and,
- Receive email notification that your registration form was successfully submitted.
The type of assistance you need with student registration will determine where you go for help.
General questions about the registration process, required documentation, or eligibility to attend a Portsmouth Public School should be directed to the school that your student would attend. Specific questions about the purpose of any data collected on the registration form or about how to answer a specific registration question should also be directed to your student's school. For assistance registering a child who was not born in the United States or speaks a language other than English, or if the documents needed for school registration were issued in a foreign country, contact the Gifted and Talented, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language (ESL) Office at 757-393-8885.
