After a successful completion of College Composition I and II (ENG 111 & ENG 112) (at their respective high schools first semester of senior year), high school seniors have the opportunity to participate in the First College program in their spring semester.
The program offers seniors an opportunity to graduate high school with a minimum of eighteen semester hours of college credit.
The First College program offers College Transfer coursework on the Portsmouth campus in Portsmouth. Students will be able to take a maximum of 14 credit hours. This does not apply to students entering into First College from the Early College Academy.
Students should speak with their Dual Enrollment counselor for applications and placement test information prior the semester for the program.
