For the second consecutive year (and for the fourth time in the past six years), the Churchland High
School Marine Corps Junior ROTC has been designated a Naval Honor School “in recognition of its
exemplary performance.”
This designation only goes out to the top 20 percent of programs in the nation.
Specifically, the Churchland MCJROTC program performed roughly 2,500 hours of community service in
the past year, and more than 80 percent of the cadets were also involved in additional extracurricular
activities at the school. In addition, the program participated in 27 drill, marksman and cybersecurity
events at the local, state and regional level where they garnered numerous trophies and accolades.
