Two PPS teachers (Amanda Bell, from Churchland Middle School, and Paul Sarandria from Manor High School) and two PPS students (Moira Rouleau, from Churchland High School, and Elisha Williams from Manor High School) were invited to the esteemed JASON Argonaut program.

There were 18 total Argonauts from across the country; four were from PPS.

The Argonaut program is an initiative from JASON Learning to connect students and staff directly with today’s scientists, engineers and other STEM professionals. As Argonauts, they will take part in the annual Argonaut Expedition, which this month will take them to Boston, Mass., to see how STEM professionals in cutting-edge industries use design and entrepreneurial thinking concepts daily to solve real-world problems.

In Boston, the students will also have the ability to present and pitch their own products, services, and business models they worked on last year to STEM mentors who will provide feedback and advice.

According to JASON, since its founding 30 years ago, more than 900 students and teachers have participated in the Argonaut Program.
