PPS School Board to host special meeting Nov. 17
11/16/2020 - This story has been updated from its original version due to new state restrictions due to the coronavirus.
The Portsmouth School Board’s special meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 17 at
5:30 p.m. will be held as a virtual meeting. The Board had previously scheduled this
as an in-person meeting to be held at John Tyler Elementary School. The change
was made to align with Governor Ralph Northam’s Nov. 13 executive order that
initiated a reduction in public and private gatherings to 25 individuals, down from the
previous cap of 250 people.
As this is a specially scheduled work session, a public comment session will not be part of this meeting. The agenda for that meeting is now posted online.
This meeting can be viewed live on the division's website at that time. Video of the meeting will also be posted the following day, Wednesday, Nov. 18 on the school division’s YouTube channel.
