Art ExhibitArt Exhibit

The art program of Portsmouth Public Schools is the place where students find their inspiration, hone their techniques, and learn the skills that will enable them to think creatively, communicate with greater ease, and become the creative persons they long to be.

Art students from Portsmouth Public Schools are taking part in “Sites Unseen,” a regional exhibition highlighting ecological issues facing Tidewater. According to MOCA organizers, students researched, designed and created site responsive, environmentally conscious, public art installations for the museum grounds. The Portsmouth students will be doing the installation of their sculpture Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19. All participants will then take part in a special symposium and reception Saturday, June 4, at 10 a.m. at MOCA. Learn more about the exhibit here: virginiamoca.org/exhibition/sites-unseen/
